Enter NIGHTSCENE: a twisted club/film set where liberties are taken, inhibitions dropped and the audience become part of the action. In just 90 minutes METRO-BOULOT-DODO shoot, edit and premiere a 10-minute film. As the lead character and the director set the scene with a series of disjointed announcements, a DJ supplies a live soundtrack as the backdrop to a series of filming sequences. The audience become extras as the story of one woman's night unfolds. The evening ends with a screening of their film that places them at the scene of some very disturbing events.

An idealistic traveller, finding herself alone in a new city, opens herself up to all possibilities. Stumbling into a dark bar she downs a couple of cocktails and her night slips from her control..... and her memory.

Designed as an interactive yet relaxed event for nightclubs and bars, NIGHTSCENE is a site specific experience that uses its environment at the heart of the action. The audience are encouraged to get involved but are also welcome just to chat, relax and enjoy the music and visuals.

NIGHTSCENE was made for the SEAS International Festival and toured seaside resorts around the Black Sea in 2008. The piece will tour seaside resorts around the North Sea with the same festival in 2009.
